Dad's Sandhill Crane photos
Dad is joining Toby in pursuing photography as a hobby. I'm excited that my two favorite men will have something to share other than an interest in blowing things up.

Canada Trip Part III - Scenery
I know, I know, I'm late in putting up the final post with photos from our trip to Canada. Things have been crazy around here! Here they are, all courtesy of Tobias Photography, as always!

View from our room during the day. This is Lake Louise, with snow pushed aside to make an ice rink. I little ways to the left, there was a separate area for ice hockey.
At the end of Lake Louise is a waterfall, which is a popular place for ice climbers in the winter. (It was much higher than it looks in the photo. They guy was just a little dot on the ice!)
The resort builds an ice castle in the middle of the skating rink each year. We saw a bride and groom having their wedding photos taken at the castle. The bridesmaids did not look terribly happy in their high heeled shoes on the ice.

Kruger National Park - South Africa
Toby's Mom recently traveled to South Africa to see Garrod and travel around the country. They visited Kruger National Park - the largest game preserve in South Africa. They saw all of the "big five" animals - lions, african elephants, cape buffalo, black rhinocerous, and leopards. Here are a selection of pictures from their adventures:

Wedding photo in Tennessean
Toby called me bright and early from work this morning, telling me that I had to go online and look at the front page of the online newspaper. I was expecting news of layoffs (the economy has completely freaked me out). Instead, about half way down is our favorite photo from our wedding!
Its being used as an advertisement for a "green wedding" edition of nashvilleweddings.com. As Toby pointed out, we must have signed a waiver for our wedding photographer to use the photos. Since we never saw them pop up on his website, we just assumed he wouldn't be using them.
It was a very nice way to start the day, indeed.

New member of the Budden family
Many of you remember Jon Budden from our wedding. He performed his Best Man duties fabulously. He made sure Toby didn't freak out, only lost one ring and only for a very short time, and didn't electrocute himself while giving the toast. We haven't seen Jon, wife Hannah or daughters Ella and Thea since the wedding, as the whole family moved to Dubai only days after the wedding.
The Buddens decided that their family wasn't complete without a four-legged family member, so they adopted Agatha! Big (human) sisters Ella and Thea seem to love her (except when she licks Ella's toes). They're calling her Aggie for short. We're hoping to visit the whole Budden family in Dubai next year.
